Udhaar & credit management

Udhaar management for hardware shops

In the hardware trade, credit is how business gets done. Contractors, plumbers and electricians buy today and pay when their site pays them. NANDIX makes sure no rupee of that udhaar is forgotten.

Where the money goes

Shops rarely lose money on billing. They lose it on forgetting.

A notebook can tell you who owes money. It can't tell you whose udhaar is getting old, or who pays in part and never finishes.

  • Every credit bill goes to the customer's account automatically, with no second entry.
  • Record part payments; the balance updates by itself.
  • See pending udhaar grouped by age: 0–7, 8–15, 16–30 and 30+ days.
  • Open any customer to see every bill and payment in one place.

Udhaar FAQ

What is udhaar management?

Udhaar management means keeping track of goods sold on credit: who owes how much, since when, and what has been paid back. For hardware shops, where contractors often pay only when their project pays them, it decides whether the shop has cash or not.

How is NANDIX different from other udhaar apps?

Most udhaar apps are a digital notebook: you enter the credit separately. In NANDIX the udhaar comes straight from the GST bill, so your bills, stock and credit always agree.

Can other shops see my customers?

No. NANDIX doesn't show your bills, customer list or udhaar to other shops. Each customer's full history lives in the built-in customer CRM, visible only to your shop.

How do I reduce bad debt in my shop?

Set a credit limit for each type of customer, follow up by the age of the udhaar, and stop new credit once old udhaar crosses 30–60 days. Our udhaar management guide explains the full method.
