Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data NANDIX collects through this website, why, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). It covers this website only. The NANDIX app has its own terms, which pilot shops receive at setup.

What we collect

When you apply for the pilot, we collect what you type into the form: your name, mobile number, shop name, town, type of business and any message you add. We also record the date and time and your device's IP address, to prevent spam and abuse.

When you ask us to call you (the short "call me" form on our pages), we collect your name, mobile number, town, whether your business is a retail shop or a distributor, and which page you sent it from. We use it only to call or message you about NANDIX and the pilot.

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email, and (if you give them) your phone number, shop or company name, and your message. When you apply for a job, we collect your name, email, phone number, town, the role, your message, any link you add, and your CV if you attach one. We use these only to reply to you or to consider your application.

When you create a NANDIX ID, we collect your mobile number (confirmed with a one-time SMS code), your name, your work and your town, and whatever you choose to save to it: calculations, projects and quotations. We also note which page you signed up from and your language. We use this to run your account, to build better tools, and to invite you to the NANDIX app when it opens. To stop abuse of SMS codes, sign-in uses Google reCAPTCHA.

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can block them in your browser settings without affecting the site.

Why we use it

  • To contact you about the pilot and set up your shop. You give this consent when you send a form, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
  • To show demand to investors, only if you ticked the box allowing it. We then share your shop's name, town, business type and form answers. We never share your mobile number, email or GSTIN. If you didn't tick the box, your shop is only counted anonymously.
  • To improve NANDIX, using the answers in aggregate (for example, how many shops struggle with udhaar).

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not add you to marketing lists or share your number with anyone else.

How it is stored

Form submissions are stored in a private folder on our web hosting server that cannot be accessed from the internet, and are sent by email to NANDIX. Only the NANDIX team has access.

NANDIX ID accounts are stored with Google Cloud in its Mumbai, India data centre. Each account can be read only by its owner; the NANDIX team can see accounts to run the service. Calculations you save on your phone without signing in stay on your phone.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as needed for the pilot and our fundraising, and delete them when they're no longer needed or when you ask, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can delete your NANDIX ID and everything saved in it at any time from the Tools page (“Delete my NANDIX ID”).

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email prakash@nandix.app with your name, mobile number and, if you have it, your reference number. We'll respond within 30 days.

Children

This website is meant for adults running or working in a business. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this notice, we update the date at the top. See also our website terms.
